Circa 1924, this amazing carving set is fitted in its original box. It is in very good condition. The box is lined with a vivid red satin fabric inside the lid. Stamped in gold is a logo and the name of the maker, ‘The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd. , London’. Above the logo is printed ‘By Appointment To H.M. The King’.

The base of the carving case is lined in red velvet. It contains a large carving knife and fork, a smaller carving knife and fork and a steel. The handles have been made from antler and each handle has a silver cap and collar.

The outside of the case is in good condition. There are some wear and tear marks evident on the lid. The outer edge of the lid has been outlined with a thin gold line. The length of the case is 37 cms.
