Large And Impressive Lindner Kueps Vase
This elegant and imposing vase is marked and numbered ‘Lindner Kueps Bavaria Echt Cobalt 768/85’. Made from porcelain, this gorgeous vase has a stunning cobalt glaze. It has been decorated with a gilded lace pattern which is very fine and detailed. Most likely dating back to the 1950s, this vase is a rare find.
Lindner Kueps Bavaria was founded by Ernst Lindner. In 1928 he left Porzellanfabrik Edelstein where he had trained, in order to establish his own company. Initially he started selling ‘seconds’ from Porzellanfabrik Edelstein. In 1933 he started introducing his own porcelain products, beginning with smaller pieces such as brooches. By 1951 the company had acquired a ready supply of skilled workers coming over the East German border and they managed to produce and maintain a wide range of ceramics.
