Antique Copper Lidded Jug
This elegant little jug has a lid that flips back. Possibly used for hot water, it has been decorated with botanical images in bands around the jug. The lower section of the jug has been beaten. At some stage the handle has been covered with a patina of woven rattan. Remnants of this remain on the handle. The jug also features brass detail on the lid and around the edge of the spout. In its day this jug would have been very special.
On the lower edge of the jug there are some dents. These are not obvious when the jug is standing.
This gorgeous jug stands 20 cms in height and it is approximately 12 cms across from handle to spout. There is a makers mark underneath. Most likely circa 1900.
